About us
OUR MISSION
To create products made from Amazonian white cacao and other varieties, revaluing their importance and ancestry. We innovate with purpose to bring visibility to these fruits of origin and join Munaï’s cause: protecting Ecuador’s native forests and strengthening the development of the communities that inhabit them.
Munacao was born in the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, where an ancestral fruit little known to the world grows: Amazonian white cacao, called Macambo (Theobroma bicolor).
For centuries, this fruit has been part of the diet of Amazonian communities. Its white seeds have a smooth and creamy flavor, with natural notes of nut and vanilla, and an exceptional nutritional profile.
However, despite its cultural and biological richness, Macambo remained almost invisible in the global market.
Munacao was born to change that story.
